Membership

Thanks for showing an interest in joining the WHEC Network. The WHEC Network consists of voluntary and community organisations working on women’s health, social care and equality in England. As a Network member, you will have:

  • Representation by the WHEC within all DH Strategic Partner forums and meetings
  • Membership of an independent Network representing women and girls’ health and equality issues in England which is recognised as such by the public sector and across government departments
  • The opportunity to raise issues and express views and concerns within a women led environment
  • Access to capacity building support and specialist training
  • The opportunity to consult closely with statutory service providers as well as influence their policies, procedures and decision making processes
  • The opportunity to work collaboratively on various pieces of work with other women’s health and equalities groups
  • Sharing of information, ideas, best practices and resources
  • Free publicity on the Network’s e-bulletin with an opportunity to post member news and activities on the WHEC website

In order to become a member of the WHEC Network your organisation must be committed to the common purpose of the Consortium which meets at least one of the following criteria:

  • An organisation which has been set up by women for women
  • A project that is led and run by women for women within a larger organisation
  • A community group which may be unconstituted but which is led and run by women for women
