Rape Crisis

Rape Crisis (England and Wales) is dedicated to a society where all women and girls are free from the fear and experience of sexual violence. and promote the needs to women and girls and improve the services to them.  Rape Crisis provide co-ordination for the national network of Rape Crisis Centres across England and Wales and provides support to affiliated member groups to raise awareness of the issues of sexual violence in the wider community and with local, regional and national government. Rape Crisis Centres provide crucial support and independent advocacy through specialist services for women and girls that have been raped or experienced another form of sexual violence – whether as adults or as children.  Rape Crisis acknowledges all forms of sexual violence including; rape, sexual assault and childhood sexual abuse, sexual harassment, rape in marriage, forced marriage, and so-called honour-based violence, female genital mutilation, trafficking and sexual exploitation and ritual abuse.
